I hope everyone is safe and healthy! We are starting our week tomorrow and I cannot wait to get tarted this week. I will be sending out emails before the week start to let you know the objectives in language arts. I have also included a schedule for students to follow. I know it can get overwhelming with all the programs, but I am confident in your student that they can do it.We have been doing them in class so having some sort of consistency will be good for us all.
I-Ready Reading - Students will be assigned two lessons per week by the teacher (“teacher assigned.”) They will also need to accomplish at least one other lesson on their path for credit. Therefore a total of 3 lessons should be completed in reading in a week. If your student scores below 70% on the second try, please email me to reset lesson and have them try again.
Achieve3000 - Students will need to complete one lesson activity a day and score a 75% or higher on their first try. Therefore a total of 5 lessons should be completed in a week. Students are welcomed to complete more for extra credit.
Assignments - After each zoom lesson (Mon/Wed at 10:00am), there will be an assignment given and a writing prompt for a journal entry. A picture of the completed assignments or word attachment can be emailed to me by the end of the week.
Math - You will receive a separate email from Mrs. Day on Math requirements. Please be on the lookout for it.
April 6-10 Language Arts Objectives
Plural Nouns - 6 rules for making singular nouns plural. * 4 Types of Nouns: Concrete vs. abstract, common vs. proper * Two Journal Writes on a given topic.
This is new for all of us and we are in this together! I will be available to zoom live on Friday for any questions or extra help starting at 9am by appointment only. Please feel free to email me with a requested time and date. Thank you for all your support and I am here to help in any way possible!
