I hope all is well. I will be reaching out via text messages, phone calls, or e-mails to keep everyone informed of how our distant learning will work. Our school website is another great way to be well informed so please check it often.

Parents, I need your help more than ever. Please help to create a quiet, distraction free zone while your child meets on Zoom and completes assignments. If you can, when we meet on-line on Tuesdays and Thursdays I ask that our student be dressed, at a table with pencil and paper with them. It becomes complicated to keep them focused and in school mode if they are in jammies laid out in bed or the couch.

With this new learning style, students will be using various computer apps and websites that will let me know if your child is meeting the objective and how I can keep moving them forward. These programs will assist in how your child receives grades in these final weeks. Please be sure to use the programs as suggested in the schedule.

Your child will need a notebook or composition book for the written assignment. ​Please date each assignment.​ Loose paper is just fine please just keep it together. For these assignments you will send it to me by taking a photo and texting or emailing it by the due date.

Week 1 ​Math Objective​ ​O.A..A1, O.A.A2 ​Students will know how to subtract using things like counters, coins, and fingers. They will be able to use drawings, do it in their head (mental math) and verbally tell you how to subtract

Week 1: ​Language Arts objective​ ​R.I.K.9 ​Use a Venn Diagram to write out how the texts are the same and how they differ.

This is a very different, but doable style of learning, if we work together. I’m counting on you and if you need anything or have questions please do not hesitate to text or email me. Thank you for your support and patience as we deal with this.
